E-commerce
E-commerce is the selling of products or services online, through a website or app where customers can browse, order and pay without going to a physical store.
When we talk about e-commerce we mean your company's digital shop: the customer browses the catalogue, adds products to the cart, pays and receives the order. It can target consumers (B2C) or other companies, distributors and resellers (B2B), with different pricing and quantity logic.
You can start from a ready-made platform, which offers catalogue, cart and payments already packaged, or from a custom solution when you need particular rules - personalized price lists, per-customer discounts, integration with stock and management software.
The visible part - the product pages - is just the tip of the iceberg. Behind it sit payments, shipping calculations, inventory management and order updates: if these pieces don't talk to each other, you get errors, delays and unhappy customers.
FAQ
A ready-made platform is fast and cheap for standard catalogues. When you need personalized price lists, B2B logic or tight integration with your systems, a custom solution pays off in efficiency and fewer errors.
