Transport and shipping software: trips, fleet and documents

Orders, trips, vehicles and transport documents in one flow, from pickup to invoice.

The challenges of running a Transport & logistics carriers business

In transport the margin lives in the details: a badly planned trip, a missing delivery note, a mis-applied rate. Orders, trips and vehicles often live across phone calls, WhatsApp and spreadsheets, and invoicing arrives at month-end rebuilt from memory. We build custom software for transport and shipping carriers that ties orders, trips, fleet and documents together, so the delivery round is tracked and the invoice comes from real data.

Orders and trips are arranged across calls and messages: no one has the full picture of who's doing what, and you can end up sending two vehicles where one would do.

Only the driver knows the shipment status: the customer calls to ask where the load is and you have to call the driver back to answer.

Transport documents (delivery notes, CMR, proof of delivery) stay in the cab or get lost: a delivery dispute becomes your word against the customer's.

Rates are detailed by customer, route and goods type, so invoicing needs manual recalculation at month-end, with errors and delayed collections.

What we build

Orders and trip planning

Transport orders collect into a single queue and combine into trips assigned to vehicle and driver. The planner sees loads, availability and priorities on one screen, without the round of phone calls.

Fleet, drivers and tracking

A register of vehicles and drivers with expiries (inspections, licences, ADR) and live trip status. Customers and the office see where the load is without calling the driver on every request.

Digital transport documents

Delivery notes, CMR and proof of delivery handled by app: the driver captures signature and photos on delivery, the document binds to the trip. Disputes close with evidence, not a phone call.

Rates and invoicing

Rate cards by customer, route and goods type applied automatically to the trip. At period end, invoicing generates from completed trips, with no manual recalculation and fewer collection delays.

Custom or off-the-shelf?

For a small fleet and simple routes, a ready-made transport package may be enough and cheaper. Custom pays off with complex rates, a mix of haulage and third-party shipping, specific tracking needs, or integration with your clients' systems. Often the best route is hybrid: use the telematics already on your vehicles and build custom only the planning, documents and invoicing the package doesn't cover.

How much it costs

A single module (e.g. app-based delivery documents or trip planning) typically starts from a few thousand euros; a full platform with rates, tracking and invoicing grows from there. We start from a focused scope and widen it when it adds value.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on how many processes you cover: delivery-document handling alone costs far less than a full platform with rates, tracking and invoicing. We start from a focused, fixed-cost module and grow step by step, so you invest only in what you actually use.
